History: Boitamari Development Block was established in the year 1963.Since that it passes preparatary stage, Stage I & II and become normalize.In the Year 1971 Panchayati Raj Act amended and made a two tyre System i.e gaon Panchyat and Mahakuma Parisad and administration was under the control of   Mahakuma Parisad  upto 1984 relating to Development Works and other matter was under  control of Deputy Commissioner.For administrative convenance a few  Villages was bifarcated from  Boitamari Development Block and Created Dangtol Development Block and Tapatary  Development Block.In 1984 Panchayati Raj Act again amended and 3 tyre System introduced i.e GP/AP/Z.P and holding Election during the Year 2001 Panchyati Raj System is functioning with the  elected body.

Function: All Rural Dev. Schemes(under Rural Dev. Deptt.) such as SGRY/PMRY/IAY/SGSY/ETC. , Census Election Relief etc. and  all function of Anchalik Panchayat and Goan panchayats.

CIC:

Establishment: Community Information Centre at Boitamari Development Block was  established in the year  2002'  on 17th August. 

Education:    We conduct following courses which is mentioned below at our CIC Centre:

  1. CIC Gyan (2 Months Course)

  2. CIC Siksha(1 Months Course)

  3. CIC Drishti(15 Days course)

  5. Typing & Printing
  6. Visual Entertainment
  7. Watching DD News etc.
  8. Demo of Computer to the School Student who used to come to visit our CIC.

Activities : Since inception of the C.I.C. at Boitamari the improvement in  our service are as follows:-      

  1. Local youth have been trained in Computer Application.

  2. Printing, typing and information given through internet particularly the employment news published in various news papers( to get  forms and details just download it and applied for the required job).

  3. Some IGNOU students of this area can contact Delhi head Office for various problem they are facing to get their result  of Examination through this C.I.C.

  4. Some people came to see the availability of Railway ticket, send e-mail ,some to see the World Cup Cricket etc.

  5. Some village people came to see this C.I.C., to see the Computers , as they have never seen it before. Particularly the students are visiting frequently to see the function of Computer.

  6. Recently one user has contact to Appolo Hospital regarding cost of Operation for his daughter and get response by e-mail.

  7. This year(2003) Boitamari CIC have served all the student by providing  results from our CIC, eg   HSLC, HSSLC(Sc), HSSLC (Arts & Commerce), and Result of Joint Admission Test, (Medical & Engg.)  etc

  8. peoples have taken information regarding treatment at Applo   Hospital  and has fixed appointment by e-mail.

  9. Some peoples are also getting admission into various courses like MCA, M.Tech etc

  10. We generate employment opportunity by proving Application Form of various types of job, at present we are sailing form of Railway Recruitment Board and the form of Nausena Bharti. 

  11. We are doing the job counseling to various Student who comes to us for suggestion before doing any long term Computer Course on Computer under .e,g DOEACC, IGNOU, MSC (IT In Computer)  etc. And information of Various Universities outside ASSAM

  12. We have introduced a Mini Library for Student and Local People, which includes Computer Related Books, Computer Dictionary, Some Articles Downloaded from Internet like topics on Computer Virus,New H/W & S/W  available at PC Market, Articles of CIC,  Some Magazines, Photo Albums of CIC,News Paper etc.

 The future prospects of the C.I.C. can be guessed as to publish various poverty elevation programme of Govt. :-

  1. Video conferencing , to  produce the agricultural news to the farmers about seeds , fertilizer and information of market price of various agricultural products earlier and present.

  2. People can know about the books , magazine, medicine , doctors , hospitals etc through the C.I.C.

  3. C.I.C. will be helpful for College and School students as they will learn various things by accessing internet.

    As C.I.C. is information centre it will help the people a lot gradually it will be popular among the public. The people will be more interested and more benefited .
